After a 6-month break I'm back! It looks like a lot of the poker sites are
picking up again so I'm going in for a couple of months to try them out.
My target is to hit a profit rate of $10/hour. I'll start at
Mansion casino
and
move to WillHill in July.
On Sportsbetting I'll stick with
Betfair
I can't understand why anyone would use any other site - the Betfair odds
are always better as long as you don't mind the european odds.
Dec 6th
Starting to rake in money at
Mansion and
Betfair poker. At last I have found two sites with poor players.
Also the Mansion $500 welcome bonus is well worth the effort to clear,
especially on tournaments as the overlays are large. On Betfair its
the sit-n-goes that have the easy tables.
On sportsbetting there are still nice
freebets at
Paddypower and
Coral.

I have changed my startup casino recommendation from
Intercasino to
Littlewoods. The reason is that Intercasino require a 50x
clearance rate for BJ while Littlewoods are still at 25x. Both bonuses are
still cash-positive so I recommend to do both but if you want an easy one to
start with then Littlewoods is it.
I have been playing a lot of poker
recently to evaluate sites. Some of the sites are getting tighter but there
are still a couple of loose ones around. I will modify my poker page to
recommend sites based on player preference as follows -
If its bonuses you want then its
WillHill
- the £25 every month is still going strong.
Mansion has a huge ($500 or
£250) welcome bonus - its not so easy to clear as WilHill but if you want to go
for the max then £250 is about the highest in the business. You wont clear the
$500 in a single sitting, but its a large number, so worth a look for those who
are regular players. Its related to your initial deposit into the poker room
so if you deposit less then the bonus will reduce to match your deposit. For
example if you deposit $100 initially into the poker room then the bonus you are
playing towards will be $100. If you want to "go for the max" then deposit
£250 ($500) into the poker room. The bonus expires after 90 days do you have 3
months to clear it, but excellent news is that it clears in $10 increments, so
you dont need to complete the whole thing - just do as much as you can manage
within the $90 day period..
If you prefer poker sites with poor
players, its
Betfair and Mansion.
Especially Betfair Poker - they are not on a shared network so their players are
mostly UK sports bettors who are not such good poker players. I found their
site very easy to win on so I will be back there! They are also doing a promo
at the moment that ends up with £15 free cash just for playing two SnG
tourneys. That took be about 15 minutes (and I won one of the tourneys as
well).
For large traffic its
Party Poker and
Pokerstars. The benefit of large-traffic sites is that you can always find a
game at your level, day or night. Ther are quite a few good players on these
sites though, so watch for sharks.

Extremely busy time! I have now moved fulltime to
Mansion poker - the tables
are not difficult and I give out £25 ($50) cash to anyone who rakes £10 in
tourney fees or cash rake. The money is put straight into your Mansion account.
This has been a very popular promotion and I strongly recommend it. I also
give out £40 ($80)to anyone who spends £100 in the casino.
I played the live dealer blackjack at
Coral.
It was difficult to get a seat and the video link was slow sometimes. At
least I came out £10 up.

I spent the weekend playing poker on
Mansion
now that they have moved to OnGame software - what a difference!
Loads of cash tables and much easier software. I am now convinced
that they are going to start taking over the customers from other sites.

Won a few bucks on Russia beating
England last night. Decided to promote
Mansion more by giving a £40
or $80 kickback to new signups. Thanks to the Mansion quickfund
function I can transfer the money directly into their accounts. I
think this could be good for Mansion.
October 15th
Cleared the WillHill
monthly poker bonus. After 1 hour I finished up by £10. Pretty much normal. I
then cleared the monthly £25 Eurobet bonus playing Blackjack. Only up £5 for an
hours work.
Big success at
Paddypower tonight playing Holdem. After 2 hours ended up about £100. That
is more than normal so I will go to bed happy.
October 8th
As the baseball season comes to an end it isn't so easy to get good bets. NHL
and Basketball will fix that! I'm still getting endless 10% reloads at VIP.
Poker is quiet but I expect some reloads coming through for the winter. I've
moved back to No-Limit play as the Limit games are quite tight. There are more
NL tables on WillHill

October 5th
Scottish football continues to be on good form with Aberdeen qualifying for the
UEFA Cup Group stages! I finished a reload bonus on Pokerstars last night
($35 profit) - hopefully another bonus will come along before Xmas. Now to do
the WillHill £25 monthly. For Sportsbetting I reloaded
Linesmaker (got 7%
bonus for Thursday) and VIP (got 10% bonus) so I am ready to rock for the
weekend!

In recent weeks I have been comparing
the big UK sites and in my view
PaddyPower is taking the lead over Ladbrokes &
WillHill. They seem to offer slightly better odds but more importantly, their
CS is excellent, with amusing newsletters and frequent promotions and the odd
freebie. Also, they offer a financial spreadbetting site which is way ahead
of the other bookies . I think they have a great all-round service and
they put a lot of effort into creating a fun
atmosphere. Its boiling down to a natural split -
PaddyPower for
Sportsbetting, Ladbrokes/Intercasino for Casinos, and
WillHill for Poker.
I've also added
Betfair to the
Sportsbetting page. Its a betting exchange so the odds are better than the
high street bookies but you need to get used to the european odds system. email
me for a handy conversion table.
And for those that like flexible
bonuses which clear either in Sportsbook, Casino, or Poker then I've added
Linesmaker (US-friendly). They have a 7% deposit bonus every Thursday and a
$10 freebet every weekend. Their Sportsbook lines are pretty good also.

Got a huge reload bonus at VIP.
The rollover requirement is quite high but I should clear it in a few days.
$300 into the pocket! Played a bit of Haunted House slots on Intercasino for
fun while watching the Champions League football on TV. It was a good night for
UK clubs.

30th January
Bonuses coming in from all over the place! The sites are trying to rebuild
their customer base after the US kickout. Did the PartyPoker $100 in 2 hours.
Came out with $60 profit. Not bad - the site seems a bit softer compared to
Xmas time. Betway dropped a $50 bonus into my account so that lets me have a
look at the Prima sites - I've not played there in a while. Already cleared
well over $1000 profit this month and I hardly played.
29th January
After years of delay I started to do some Sportsbook betting. I coudln't
beleive how easy it is to guarantee a profit there. I wish I knew this
earlier! Got an instant $100 profit at Canbet for doing no work at all. I
plan to reduce poker a bit and increase the Sportsbook trading for a month or
two.

Nearly got the website finished.
Celebrated by playing a few hands at 100NL on Party. Dropped $20 until
I managed an easy suckout: my QQQ on the flop was enough to beat the 2 pairs
of the other guy. He went all-in when he was miles away from a
winning hand. Normally the tables are a bit tighter than this so it
was good to see a noob going through the learning process. Lots
of German names on Party these days so it looks like they are marketing
heavily over there.
